Our approach

  1. Initial Consultation: Hands down, the most cost-effective way to gather information about the nature and circumstances of your legal inquiry is through a video conference. A video call allows us to determine if we’re a good fit for each other and to narrow down the scope of work we can offer, including the payment method that works best for you.

  2. Cost Agreement: If we agree to work together, we’ll provide you with a letter (Engagement Letter), together with the quote for legal services (the Work Proposal), our business terms (Business Terms) and schedule of Fees and Charges (Fees & Charges) (Collectively the Cost Agreement) setting out the terms of our offer to provide you legal services in accordance with our Costs Agreement and disclosure obligations under the Legal Profession Act 2007.

  3. Information Gathering: Once you accept our Cost Agreement, we’ll send you a detailed list of the information we need from you to complete our legal analysis. This process ensures that we have all the necessary details to provide accurate and effective legal advice.

  4. Legal Analysis: Next we’ll conduct a thorough legal analysis based on the information provided.

  5. Advice & Strategy: After we have reviewed and analysed all relevant documents, we will carry out the legal services within the Work Proposal, provide you with tailored advice and propose a strategy to address your legal issues.

  6. Ongoing Support: Throughout the process, we provide ongoing support and updates to ensure you are informed and confident in the steps being taken.

  7. Billing: Once individual items in the Work Proposal are completed, we’ll Bill you using the method agreed during our initial consultation as set out in our Cost Agreement.​

On demand legal services

Our legal services are in very high demand, and due to the need to make adjustments to our commitments and planned work, we charge a Standard Time Base Fee for High-Priority On-Demand legal services (work requested for completion within 48 hours).

To access a more cost affective rate, we incentivise our clients to be proactive and plan ahead by offering Fixed Fee Packages, a Capped Fee Option, and Payment Plans for all work which is not Time Dependent.  â€‹

Predictable & Cost Effective

For clients who require regular access to legal services, we offer highly competitive Fixed Fee Packages and a Capped Fee Option. This model allows businesses to reserve a minimum service level from us each week, giving them the flexibility to adjust their legal support based on their evolving needs.

Our Fixed Fee Packages allow clients to reserve set hours for use each week with the certainty of a Fixed Fee.

 

Our Capped Fee Option offer clients who think they may exceed their reserve set hours the benefit of Capped Fees for additional set hours. This allows clients the flexibility to introduce additional work as their priorities shift, all while benefiting from the certainty of a Capped Fee.

This tailored approach enables our clients to receive the legal support they need, when they need it, without the unpredictability of traditional billing methods, incentivises proactivity, and rewards loyalty.    

 

With our Fixed Fee Packages and Capped Fee Options, SMEs can focus on their core operations, knowing that their legal compliance and strategic goals are in expert hands, and that their costs are predictable, controlled and transparent.​​

Flexible Payment Options

We rarely require upfront payment, and instead offer our clients Post Performance Payment Options.  Our standard practice is to issue clients a Bill of Costs for the work completed each week, however, we also offer clients Zero Interest Payment Plans.  This enables our clients the benefit of accessing legal support when its needed, with minimal impact to their budget and cashflow.

  1. Service Levels: Our Fixed Fee Packages and Capped Fee Options are designed to cater to different types of businesses based on their size, complexity, and legal needs. 

  2. Fixed Fee Reserve Hours: Our Fixed Fee Packages provide our clients with an option to reserve a minimum number of hours of legal support each week at a Fixed Fee.  Reservation of time allows us to plan our time efficiently and effectively, and as a result, our Fixed Fees are substantially lower than our Standard Time Base Fee. 

  3. Work Proposal: Our Work Proposals set out the specific tasks will complete for our clients, however, as priorities change, clients can request us to introduce new unplanned work through a Additional Work Proposal.  

  4. Weekly Fixed Fee: Once the Fixed Fee Reserve Hours are agreed, we set the Fixed Fee our client will pay every week for the reserved hours, providing predictable costs and eliminating surprises. Clients can access more hours if needed, and these additional hours are either charged at the Capped Fee Rate or Standard Time Base Fee.

  5. Effective Hourly Rate: Our weekly Bill of Costs will show our clients effective hourly rate, which is the total fee divided by the Fixed Fee Reserved Hours (plus any additional hours requested). 

  6. Capped Fee Option: Our Capped Fee Option offers clients the financial certainty of a capping fees for additional work requested above a clients Fixed Fee Reserve Hours. Our Capped Fee Rate is higher then the Fixed Fee rate, but remains substantially lower than our Standard Time Base Fee. 

  7. Service Flexibility: Clients who regularly exceed their Fixed Fee Reserved Hours have the option to increase their Fixed Fee Reserved Hours. 

  8. Unused Reserved Hours: Clients have the flexibility to credit their unused hours for use in the following month.
